In the real world, there are no rules when it comes to an attack or defending yourself, only self-imposed limitations. The truth is that most traditional martial arts schools do very little to prepare you for real world violence. Techniques are often taught using a Reactive (Defensive) approach and rely on Fine Motor skills that usually require years of practice to become proficient.

When it comes to women�s self-defense courses, most traditional schools lack the research and specialized training in how women are victimized. The courses fail to deal with space and boundary concepts in a realistic manner or the dynamics that often occur in sexual assaults.

Most martial arts styles have been designed from a male�s perspective of combat and fail to properly address modern self-defense needs. the kinds of attacks women are commonly exposed to. Bottom line, a man will attack a woman differently than he would attack another man.

Our women's defense classes are unique in that we offer a different approach to defense than the standard Martial Arts, or Karate school.

Our classes are based on research from actual attack victims. We have also matched up the science of the body and mind to create techniques that are simple, effective and emphasize instinctual movements. This is how we ensure that you're not getting a watered down version of a Martial Arts curriculum.

We use our " Adrenaline Response Training System", to give you one of the most realistic training environments in the Phoenix area. We are one of the only schools to offer Full Contact instruction with a padded assailant.

Reality-based scenarios try to replicate a "real situation" as close as possible, preparing staged environments, using weapons to bring about an adrenaline response. Adopting this type of training yields more beneficial results than years of mindless sparring in a dojo. It's really quite simple, when attacked, your conscious brain shuts down, your primitive brain takes over and engages the "fight or flight" response. If you have trained in "real event" simulations, your chance of survival is greatly enhanced.
